Holmes as the most famous, prolific porn star of all time, gained notoriety as King of Porn
for his exceptionally large penis, starring in a series of films revolving around a private detective named Johnny Wadd.
It is said that he was a compulsive liar, a narcissist, sociopath, and
that multiple personalities,
extremely low self esteem and
drug addiction effected his judgement in the
Wonderlandmurders.
He has been subject to documentaries, and was the basis of two films: Wonderland and Boogie Nights.
Born: John Curtis Estes.He grew up in a small low-income apartment project in Columbus, Ohio, when his mother relocated there from Ashville, Ohio in 1948 after leaving Holmes’ alcoholic and abusive stepfather, who would often come home drunk and vomit on the children.
The apartment was small and shared with a friend of Holmes’ mother and her two children, Holmes and his three siblings would stay home while his mother would work as a clerk and waitress to support her four kids. In 1952, his mother (a devout Southern Baptist) married Harold Bowman. The family soon moved east to the small town of Pataskala, Ohio.
Bowman was said to have bi-polar, but Holmes recalled him as a good father, until the birth of his biological son, in which then Bowman neglected his non biological children, and soon began abusing Holmes, as he was the youngest. Holmes eventually began to fight back after his step father threw him down a flight of stairs.
Shortly after the incident Holmes ran away from home, but returned two days later to tell his mother that he would kill Bowman if he were to move back in and ask for her permission to drop out of school. He shortly joined the army and after basic training was shipped to Germany where he learned to be an expert poker player.
After an honorable discharge from the army, Holmes moved to L.A. and started work as an ambulance driver. It was there he met and married nurse Sharon Gebenini.
The two moved in together and Holmes found work as a forklift driver in a meat packing plant. due to the sudden weather conditions he faced (moving in and out of a freezer) Holmes experienced many health problems including a collapsed lung.
A trip to the toilet during a late night poker game landed Holmes in the adult film industry when a man saw the size of his penis and offered him a job. Holmes willingly accepted.
At one point Holmes was earning $1000 a day (this being the 70’s) and the sober John Holmes soon became a heavily addicted drug addict.
Holmes never went anywhere without a quart of J&B scotch, and had one choice in the morning: which dealer he would call.
Holmes was known to be a compulsive liar. He claimed to have slept with over 14,000 women and often stated he had graduated from UCLA with a degree in political science.

“The closest John ever got to UCLA was stealing something from a car in the parking lot. John left school in 9th grade.”
Holmes became difficult on set and unreliable and soon found himself out of work. He began robbing, stealing and pimping out his 15-year-old “Mistress”.
He became involved with notorious gangster Eddie Nash and masterminded a scheme to steal a large amount of cocaine from him.
In 1984, Nash ordered a hit on those involved in the robbery. in order to save his life and the lives of his family, Holmes led thehitmen to the Wonderland Ave. hideout of those involved and watched as four of his friends were brutally beaten to death with lead pipes.
This incident became the infamous Wonderland Murders.
Holmes was arrested and questioned for the murders but released due to lack of evidence.
He fled across America with his mistress Dawn, who after 15 months on the run with him turned him in.
John was charged with the Wonderland Murders, but later acquitted, convicted of contempt of court.
After his release from prison Holmes entered back into the adult film industry.In 1986 Holmes tested positively for the HIV virus, yet he consciously continued working in the adult film industry, and upon a trip to Italy shot his two last films.
In 1988 John Holmes died of complications due to AIDS. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered by his wife, mother and brother at sea off the coast of Oxnard, California.Shauna Grant

Born: Colleen Aplegate, grew up in the small town of Farmington, Minnesota after her family re-located from her birth place of Bellflower, California in 1973.Her father was a manager of the central phone company in Minnesota, a company where Grant would later work as a repair clerk. Grant was a high school cheerleader, graduating from Farmington High school in 1981.
After few failed jobs in her small town Grant attempted suicide by swallowing a handful of prescription sinus pills. It is said that the family never spoke of the suicide attempt, and the family only attended one group therapy session, in which little to nothing was said.
Grant soon split to L.A. with her then boyfriend Mike Marcell. After many failed job attempts Grant was approached by soft core photographer Stephen Hicks, she soon began modelling for magazines such as Hustler and Penthouse but was soon advised to leave the industry by Hicks. He is quoted on saying:
Shauna and Mike’s relationship lasted not more than two months into living in L.A. and Mike soon returned home, telling Shauna’s family of her career choice shortly before enlisting in the U.S. army."You know, you take a typical girl that’s used to working at McDonald’s or at a shoe store, where she’s used to making a minimum wage, and suddenly she’s given the opportunity to get made up, and be in front of people who tell her she’s beautiful, and make as much money in a day as she was making in three weeks and, um, they change. They change. And that’s sad.“
Despite Hicks’ advice to leave, Grant soon fell into the adult film industry after meeting adult film producer Bobby Hollander, pursuing a very successful career Grant was soon making up to
$1,500 a day. She befriended fellow actress and make-up artist Laurie Smith and together were known to party for days at a time and use cocaine heavily, earning Grant the nickname "Applecoke”.
Grant became so prestigious, she was seated next to acclaimed film director Francis Ford Coppola at an awards ceremony. But Grant soon retired from the adult film industry after feeling pressured by producers, less than a year into her career.
Grants Cocaine addiction became worse as she left the industry and met her new boyfriend and cocaine dealer Jack Ehrlich, she moved into his Palm Springs home and was regularly supplied with cocaine. while living with Jack she began to manage a leather goods store he owned in Palm Springs, while also beginning an affair with a Farmington collage student, whom she told friends she was planning to marry.
Grants boyfriend Jack was arrested on drug charges and sentenced to five years in prison. Shortly after his sentence began Jack rang Shauna and explained their relationship was over and ordered her to move out, leaving grant homeless, moneyless and without drugs.
On march 23, 1984 Grant took her own life with a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head, using a .22 long rifle. Grant was buried in her favourite colour pink, in her hometown of Farmington.There is much speculation as to whether or not Grant died by her own hand. Police posed questions regarding the circumstances surrounding Grant’s death. Weeks after the event, police were still awaiting results of toxicological and gun-residue tests. The possibility of a foul play investigation hung in the balance. It is known that Grant had received threatening phone calls that related to her boyfriend’s business affairs. Also, detectives noted Ehrlich avoided prison for a time by providing authorities with information. At the time of Grant’s death, there were two people playing pool in Ehrlich’s house—Brenda Rosenow, a friend of Grant’s, and Cal Ardigo, a friend of Ehrlich’s. Shortly before Grant’s shooting, two unidentified visitors showed up outside the home. The back door of Ehrlich’s house was a possible means of access to the bedroom and to Grant.

Ginger Lynn (born Ginger Lynn Allen; December 14, 1962) is an American pornographic model, prominent in 1980s videos. She also had occasional roles in low-budget B-movies. AVN has ranked her at #7 in a list of the 50 greatest porn stars of all time.[1] After ending her adult-entertainment career she began using her full name of Ginger Lynn Allen and found work in a variety of B-movies. Born in Illinois, Ginger Lynn Allen moved to California in 1982 after hearing about her grandfather's heart attack. Following her grandfather's death, a male friend came to live with her and became her "first nice boyfriend". Allen was the major financial supporter in the relationship and needed to find a higher-paying job. When she answered an advertisement from the World Modeling Agency in September 1983, she was immediately hired and did a pictorial for Penthouse, which brought her to the attention of the adult film industry.
Allen began as a nude model and then began performing in hardcore sex films as Ginger Lynn by December of 1983. Her first pornographic film role was in Surrender in Paradise, in which she starred with Jerry Butler. Allen's "girl next door" good looks led to a quick rise in her popularity and eventually she became one of the most popular female performers in adult-entertainment history. She had her own line of videos through Vivid Entertainment with director Bruce Seven. Allen received the Best New Starlet award in 1985 and is an inductee to the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) and Adult Video News (AVN) Halls of Fame. Career highlights include her performance as the neighbor who introduces Tom Byron to sex in Kinky Business (1984) and her work in Slumber Party with Eric Edwards.
Allen's work was also distinguished by explicit and inventive "dirty talking" during her performances. She was the first Vivid Entertainment Vivid Girl, beating out the then-underaged Traci Lords. She was later called to testify on Lords' behalf against porn producers; she refused, and according to her, was then targeted by the Internal Revenue Service for falsification of a tax return. Allen had at least six scenes with porn legend John Holmes early in her career and was the first onscreen female partner of prolific porn actor Peter North.
In February 1986, Allen decided to stop making adult videos and establish a career in mainstream films using her full name. She appeared in several non-adult films, television shows and even interactive movie segments of the Wing Commander computer games.[2] She started her career in mainstream features with a small part in the western Young Guns II, which co-starred her former boyfriend Charlie Sheen's brother, Emilio Estevez.[3] Allen returned to the adult-film industry in 1999 for three movies: Torn (1999), White Lightning (2000) and New Wave Hookers 6 (2000). In December 2005 she appeared in American Pie: Band Camp (2005) playing the supporting role of Nurse Sanders. In March 2006 she became a host of Playboy Radio's Sirius Satellite Radio show, Night Calls Radio, with former adult film actress Christy Canyon. In June 2007 Allen performed for two of Kink.com's hardcore websites, Ultimate Surrender and Sex and Submission.[4] In 2008, Allen appeared in the films Dirty Rotten Mother Fuckers with James Deen (24 years younger than her) and Seasoned Players 4 with Tom Byron, then performed in more than a dozen hardcore releases in each of the next two years.[5] Personal life
Lynn had a long-term relationship with Los Angeles radio personality Ralph Garman.[6]
She had a two-year relationship with Charlie Sheen from 1990 to 1992, including accompanying him through drug rehabilitation.[7] Lynn met Sheen in early 1990 on the set of Young Guns II, having left adult movies four years previously.[8] In 1991 Lynn was convicted in a federal tax-evasion case and ended up serving 4½ months in prison.[3] Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen wrote letters to the court in support of Allen during her trial.[9] She also spent time in a rehabilitation center during this period because of cocaine abuse.[10][11] Lynn and Sheen's relationship continued until Sheen was called upon to testify in the Heidi Fleiss trial. Although their relationship was not monogamous, the revelation that he had been with prostitutes was the start of the end of their relationship.[8]
In a 2003 interview, she described herself as the "single mother of a five-year-old son."[12] Despite the well-known allegations that Sheen is physically violent towards women, Lynn said she never saw the actor become abusive in the slightest, "Not one time did he raise his voice. No violence," she said.[13] Health
Allen was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2000. She underwent a total hysterectomy and some chemotherapy, and is regarded as cancer-free.[14]
